oh, this girl.

she turned 20 months on saturday.  

how is this possible?

everyone is saying she's looking like a little girl and not a baby.

i know it's true,

but i won't admit it.

she's still my baby.

charlotte was the easiest, sweetest baby.

and she is still sweet...

but not so easy.

this girl has discovered her will.

and exercises it.

loudly.

we are talking a lot about gentle hands and 'using our words'

(the ones she has, at least).

actually... we're practicing that with all 3 kids right now!

right now she loves:

elmo, dancing, babies, kitties, singing, books, her blankie, shoes, coloring, baths and fruit snacks.

(she pretty much carries a package of fruit snacks around with her all day, hoping i will open them for her.)

she does not like:

getting in her carseat, being told 'no', vegetables, having her diaper changed, or being left out.

she loves being naked and will sing 'naked girl, naked girl' 

any time her clothes are off.

she makes us laugh, all the time.

she is feisty, determined, and has incredible vocal chords.

but she is also a great little snuggler

and gives the sweetest little kisses.

i love hearing her talk to her brother and sister, say 'amen' 

and watching her shake her biscuits.

she may be a handful sometimes, but i love this little girl something fierce.

charlotte monroe... i have loved every day of your 20 months.

now, can you slow it down a bit?
