so i'm not totally sure how to spell 'hooray'.
but that is what i want to say about today....
hooray/hurray/hurrah for friday!!!
it has been a looooooooong week.
jeff has been working a lot with seek week
(which is totally awesome, but means lots of mommy-kid time)
we have missed having him around.
but friday is his day off.
yipee!
after dropping jackson off at school, we headed over to rockharbor.
right next door is the rip curl store.
they were having a parking lot sale.
we officially felt like so-cal peeps.
it is way to hot in fresno for parking lot anythings.
when you walk in, they hand you a black plastic bag with a pricing sheet.
the clothes were CHEAP.
but you had to do some digging.
we walked away with some fun finds
and then headed over to the school to pick up jackson from kindergarten.
then we headed to the library!
i have been looking forward to getting my official oc library card.
the kids loved looking through the books.
bella wanted ones with cats.
jackson was reading everything we put in front of him.
charlotte thought she was such a big girl sitting at the reading table.
we kept reminding kids to be quiet.
charlotte showed us her 'shhhhh'
(from the iPhone, but too cute not to share :)
after getting our books, we walked out back
where there was a lake with a big....
fountain!
and a lot of ducks.
bella was all about running after the ducks.
they were not all about bella and quickly fled to the safety of the water....
which jackson thought was funny.
charlotte wanted to explore the 'big' rocks
and was so proud when she made it to the top!
eventually, bella had chased every duck around the lake into the water
(note the super-awesome park in the background. i hear there's a splash pad there. yes please!!!)
we headed home for lunch and quiet rest time.
the kids read their books and watched the dvd they checked out.
tonight ended back at rockharbor.
the end of seek week was a huge celebration.
there was a delicious dinner, bounce houses, and a worship service.
(they are releasing their new worship album)
(iphone photo)
watching the kids worship may be one of my favorite things.
tonight charlotte was dancing all over.
when she saw people raising their hands, she did it too.
(wish i had a picture...maybe the sweetest ever)
hope you all had a friday worth 'hooraying' about.
Such a simple, but wonderful day! Love it!
